Reality is Broken

Based upon Jane McGongal's book Reality is Broken, the idea was to create a second device that could be linked to the main device itself. Because the book centers itself on gamification, my team and I thought by using a daemon character we could provide the reader real world game-like situations to then unlock certain chapters/ fixes within the book. Fixes or "tasks" are elements in the book McGongal believes can be done in order to solve the problems we face right now in reality. This concept was later advanced and worked on at Walt Disney Imagineering while I was an intern. It proved to be a successful initiative in terms of developing games to produce more aerobic activity within Walt Disney Theme Parks. Games were developed using RFID chips that then unlocked rewards based on caloric expenditure.
