Lance Gracie's G.2.NODe Summit, where Gracie and his team of professionals unveils the future systems of enhancements is an exploration in writing. The Transhumanist Discourse on the Institution of Sport & The New Athlete synthesizes scientific rational with emotional irrationality and fictional representation. This screenplay drove much of the project forward.
While writing is not typically thought of as a form of design, the power of words and cadence of sentence structure has the ability to craft emotion, perspective, and understanding of broader ideas and systems. Each narrative plays a part in targeting the contradictory response that is usually associated with disruptive technologies. This screenplay acted as the backbone to dive into some content that is frowned upon in terms of the stigma of PED's and its role in athletics.
